Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and any work you hire Steady Maywood Spray Foam Insulation to do at your house or building. When you browse the site, send us a request or book a job, you're agreeing to them, so please read them before you do.
If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site, and call us at (213) 329-1943 before you book so we can talk it through.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor in Maywood, CA, and we work in the cities around it too. Our crew installs and removes insulation, seals air gaps and puts down vapor barriers in attics, walls, crawl spaces and basements, for homes and commercial buildings. You can see the full list of services on our home page and read more about who we are on our About page.
The descriptions on this site are general. What we actually do at your property is what's written in your estimate or work agreement, and that document wins if it differs from anything on the site.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free and come with no obligation, and we give them after we've seen the space, because the price depends on things we can only check in person. Those include the size and height of the attic or crawl space, how much old material is already up there, whether it needs to come out first, and which material you choose.
An estimate is our best price for the work it describes, based on what we could see that day. Sometimes we find something once the job is open, like insulation that was soaked or full of droppings, or damaged framing. When that happens we stop, show you, and get your okay on any added work and cost before we go ahead.
Prices shown in an estimate stay good for the period written on it. After that, we may need to look again before we confirm the price.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We'll agree on a start date with you, and we do our best to keep it. Weather, material supply, a permit or something we find on site can move it, and if that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know.
Please give our crew clear access to the work area, the electrical panel and a path in and out, and move stored items out of the attic or crawl space before we arrive. If we can't get in on the scheduled day, we may need to reschedule.
Some jobs, spray foam in particular, mean you, your kids and your pets need to stay out of the house for a while. We'll tell you before the job how long that usually is and when it's safe to come back in, and you agree to follow that guidance.
If you need to cancel or move your appointment, call us as early as you can. If we've already ordered special material or started work, your agreement may let us charge for that material and the work done up to that point.
Payment
Your estimate or work agreement says how much is due and when, including any deposit. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the job is finished and we've walked the space with you.
If a payment is late, we may pause remaining work until it's settled. We'll always talk to you first, because most billing questions get sorted out with a phone call.
Our workmanship and what isn't covered
Steady Maywood Spray Foam Insulation is licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work. If something about the installation isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it. Any written warranty for your job is the one in your work agreement or from the material maker, and its terms decide what's covered.
We can't promise a specific drop in your power bill or a set temperature in any room, because that depends on your heating and cooling equipment, ductwork, windows, how you use the house and parts we didn't work on. We also aren't responsible for problems that were there before we started and weren't part of our job, or for damage from roof leaks, plumbing leaks, pests, or changes someone else makes after we leave.
Information on this website is for general guidance only and isn't a substitute for an inspection of your property.
Limits on our liability
To the extent California law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost income, lost use of the property or hotel costs, that come from our work or from using this site.
Also to the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have that California law says can't be limited.
Resolving a disagreement
If you're unhappy with anything, call us first at (213) 329-1943 or reach us through our Contact page, and give us a fair chance to fix it. Most problems on an insulation job can be handled with a visit and a straight conversation.
If we can't settle it between us, either of us can take it to small claims court or to a court in Los Angeles County, California.
Which law applies
These terms, this website and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. A change won't alter the terms of a job you've already signed for unless we both agree to it in writing.
Questions about these terms
If anything here is unclear, call us at (213) 329-1943 or send a message through our Contact page, and we'll explain it before you book. Expect a reply within 1 business day.
